We were delighted to have our first Haygrove Shadehouse handed over on Wednesday, 3 November, 2021
The unit is 20x 18m in size and is located on Riverside 4. It is a flat top pole and cable shade net structure with 40% black netting on the sides and 50%green netting on the top.
It’s first occupants will be a crop of red and yellow peppers that we are expecting to transplanted in the next 2-4 weeks.
Mondo Farms continues to grow with additional infrastructure being commissioned at a regular pace. Shadehouses are a major part of our strategy of becoming a major producer of high-value crops. This will be our fourth shadehouse, with the other wooden frame structures having 40% black netting. The two 50x40m units at Westgate currently house cauliflower and broccoli crops, while the 40x15m unit at Riverview is home to our tree and garden plant seedlings.
